Ford’s new F-150 Raptor to hit Chinese market in 2022

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Ford Motor China announced today that its latest generation of the signature F-150 Raptor pickup would be seen on the Chinese market next year, with presale starting in the first quarter.

The company said it would adopt a direct selling model, providing diverse service experiences for users. Presale of the Raptor will be conducted on Ford China’s official WeChat application platform only.  

The new F-150 Raptor is powered by a 3.5L EcoBoost® twin-turbo engine, with a self-developed 10-speed automatic transmission and a new-generation electronic control system.

The custom-made five-link rear suspension system of the truck realizes the most extended suspension travel among all Raptor models in history.

The new Raptor is also equipped with the latest generation of the FOX™ shock absorber powered by Ford’s Live Valve™ electronic control system. The multiple sensors on the truck make it possible for the damping coefficient to realize up to 500 real-time adjustments per second.

Moreover, the pickup features a terrain management system, a trail 1-pedal drive, and trail control functions under seven different driving modes, perfecting the off-road experience with vehicle intelligence.

In addition, Ford added that the new-generation F-150 Raptor is capable of OTA update, too.
