BAIC BJEV sold 4,198 vehicles in December, skyrocketing 305% year on year. The cumulative sales volume of the carmaker amounted to 26,127 vehicles in the entire year of 2021, remaining flat from a year ago, with a 213 vehicles difference, edging up less than 1%.
Notably, during the entire year of 2021, BAIC BJEV’s production volume remained at a low level. The cumulative production volume of the company amounted to 6,369 vehicles in the year, more than halved from the previous year’s 13,224 vehicles.
Judging from its production volume and sales volume ratio, BAIC BJEV has been deliberately getting the stock off its hands. The action aligns with the company’s dedication to intelligent transformation, as it has been putting more of its attention to its high-end sub-brand, ARCFOX.
BAIC Bluepark recently disclosed on its investor platform that the company has allocated a portion of its marketing budgets to layout the ARCFOX brand and its sales network. In 2022, the company intends to keep investing in the brand to boost its sales performance.
