The new vehicles sold last month were all new energy vehicles (NEVs) as BYD discontinued the production of oil-fueled vehicles in March. Compared to the year-ago period, the NEV sales in April reflected a 313.23% hike. The robust growth entirely flowed from the 321.33% year-over-year growth in the new energy passenger vehicle (NEPV) sales, which stood at 105,475 units. However, the sales of new energy commercial vehicle (NECV) sales in April were down by 9.71% from a year ago.
