Geely’s ZEEKR 001 WE to cut complimentary incentives starting June

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 13th, Geely’s high-end EV brand ZEEKR issued an adjustment on complimentary add-on services that currently come with the purchase of its only model on the market, the ZEEKR 001.

According to its announcement, the service adjustment is a consequential result generated by the continuous hike in upstream raw material prices. The affected model is the ZEEKR 001 WE trims, namely the single electromotor ultra-long range ZEEKR 001 WE, and the dual-electromotor long range ZEEKR 001 WE. Both trims are currently priced at RMB299,900 ($44,204). 

Specifically, the purchasing of the ZEEKR 001 WEs will no longer come with free ZEEKR 7kW intelligent household charging piles (including 50m cable and basic installation fee). The package is worth RMB6,599 ($973). 

Moreover, the current free upgrade for 21” rims (excluding the four-piston calipers) will also be downgraded to standard 19” rims. The add-on upgrade equals RMB11,000 ($1,621) in value. 

The adjustments will take effect on June 1st, and users who place their orders beforehand will not be influenced by the changes. 

Notably, earlier in April, ZEEKR has issued a price increase and adjustments to its current sales discounts, which already took effect on May 1st. This marked the automaker’s second attempt to cut its costs.
