The new vehicles sold last month were all new energy vehicles (“NEVs”) as BYD ceased the production of cars powered only by internal combustion engines in March this year.Compared to the same span in 2021, BYD's NEV sales in July soared 221.89%. The blooming growth was entirely ascribed to the 224.06% year-on-year surge in new energy passenger vehicles ("NEPV") sales, which stood at 162,214 units.
