Gasgoo Awards: Influential Figures in China's Automotive Industry for 2022

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Gasgoo, China's leading automotive industry information service platform, honored ten executives as the Most Influential People in Chinese Automotive Industry for 2022.

The Gasgoo Awards, which receives great attention from the industry, is set to recording the efforts and commitment executives have made for China's auto industry. A committee is responsible for deciding the most marketable leaders based on their performances in strategic reform, execution ability, business reform, production innovation, as well as industry influence.

The Influential Figures in Chinese Auto Industry of 2022 are as follows (in no particular order). 

Ma Chuan, President, Faurecia China

Mr. Ma Chuan assumed the role as President of Faurecia China from September 1st, 2022, with responsibility for overall management and operations in China.

Prior to this position, Mr. Ma acted as China Division President of Faurecia Automotive Seating from November 2017, with the responsibility of overall management and operations for the division in China.

Ma Chuan joined Faurecia in early 2009. He served various important management positions from 2009 to 2016, and obtained rich experience through working across different business units including Metal Business, Seating and Mechanism Business etc.

Huo Bin, Vice President of Continental China，President of Continental BA Safety and Motion China

Mr. Huo Bin is committed to the efficient combination of Germany's technical advantages and China's local market and resources, the improvement of products' competitiveness, and the building of talent pools.

Mr. Huo leads over 6,000 staff members of Continental AG's BA Safety and Motion China in developing industry-leading safety mobility solutions. Under his leadership, the team focuses on the product R&D and technology innovations, some of which have gone into volume production. For instance, the MK Cx HAD Redundant By-wire Brake System for high-level automated driving achieved its volume production on the ARCFOX αS All-new HI version in 2022. 

Yuan Yongbin, Chairman of Bethel Automotive Safety Systems Co., Ltd (WBTL)

Under Mr. Yuan's leadership, WBTL, which was founded in 2004 and be listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2008, achieved excellent results in fields of vehicle braking, chassis electric control, cast aluminum lightweight, etc.

Mr. Yuan Yongbin led the company to such achievements, including the invention of the world's third IPB parking brake caliper, the 1st Chinese Tier 1 supplier to realize EBP and ESC mass production, the 1st Chinese Tier 1 supplier to launch and produce ONE-BOX brake system, worldwide footprint of 10 manufacturing bases and 3 R&D centers, etc.

Freeman Cao, Senior Vice President and Head of Automotive Business, Infineon Technologies Greater China

Freeman Cao is leading Infineon Technologies' Greater China automotive team and working with upstream and downstream industry partners to establish and improve the industrial ecosystem and make cars cleaner, safer, and smarter.

Regarding the contribution to the automotive industry development, Freeman Cao and his team are dedicated to providing the best products and services for customers, driving the development of new energy vehicles and autonomous driving, boosting the construction of industry standards, promoting the building of the industry ecosystem, and focusing on the cultivation of future talents for the industry.

As for the influence to product innovation, Mr. Cao is leading a comprehensive capability building to the team as well as Infineon's distributors at the product, system, and application levels. He is also working on boosting the construction and improvement of the ecosystem construction for Infineon products in Greater China, contributing to breakthroughs of Chinese operating systems in the automotive electronics field.

In terms of his influence to business transformation, Mr. Cao helped the company establish the Greater China Automotive Electronics Application Center and build a new model of business interaction & cooperation for multi-parties. He is also actively working on introducing Infineon's leading manufacture management experience to a wide range of industry participants.

Han Jijun, Chairman and General Manager of Foryou Multimedia Electronics Co., Ltd. (ADAYO)

After joining Foryou Corporation in 2002, Mr. Han Jijun has successively assumed the role of General Manager of Foryou General Electronics, and General Manager and Chairman of Foryou Multimedia Electronics.

Over the past few years, Mr. Han Jijun led Foryou Multimedia Electronics in actively exploring the R&D of in-car HUD (head-up display), and innovating in the formulation of technology, testing, and production standards for HUD products. Besides, the company teamed up with Huawei to lead and deeply involve themselves in the formulation process for national standards related to HUD.

Zhu Junhan, General Manager of Landai Technology Group Corp., Ltd.

Since being the General Manager of Landai Technology Group Corp., Ltd., Mr. Zhu Junhan has launched a series of innovative measures to lead the enterprise in entering the high-end auto parts market and promoting the company's first proprietary 6AT automatic transmission to roll off the production line. He takes automatic transmission parts, balance box, new energy reducer as the key development programs, which have become important growth points to the company's powertrain business division's profits, and has brought significant growth in sales for the company.

Led by Mr. Zhu Junhan, the company completed the acquisition of Shenzhen Top Group Technology Co., Ltd., making foray into the touch-sensitive display field.

Chen Zejian, Chairman of BiTECH Automotive (Wuhu) Co.,Ltd.

Under the leadership of Mr. Chen Zejian, BiTECH has formed a new type of foundry and auxiliary design business model with complete system and flexible business, based on its own complete supply chain system, advanced manufacturing capabilities, as well as its product development capabilities and development system that have been deeply cultivated for many years.

Currently, BiTECH is now a national high-tech enterprise with complete industry qualification and mature R&D and manufacturing system and manufactures automotive electronic products for Volvo Cars, SAIC Volkswagen, GWM, Changan Auto, Geely and other OEMs. 

Xie Shibin, General Manager of Viridi Energy Mobility Technology (Ningbo) Co., Ltd.

Mr. Xie Shibin joined Geely in 2014 as president of New Energy Research Institute, taking charge of the strategic planning, design, development and validation of Geely's new energy platform models, and the strategic planning and management of Geely New Energy Research Institute.

Since July 2017, he has been the general manager of Viridi Energy Mobility Technology (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. ("VREMT"), responsible for the independent development, production and operation of core components such as power battery system and electric drive system of Geely new energy vehicles. Under his leadership, VREMT has formed a comprehensive new energy ecological chain and continued to provide safe efficient and intelligent energy solutions.

Tang Rui, Founder & CEO of Zongmu Technology

Founding Zongmu Technology in January 2013, Mr. Tang Rui made the company take the lead in realizing the productive application of autonomous driving technologies, and grow into a leading enterprise in the field of unmanned parking in China.

Before founding Zongmu Technology, he served as the global senior R&D director of CSR Semiconductor (UK), leading the team in developing a variety of automotive electronic chips and software products. The CSR car navigation solution was developed and successfully launched into the market under the leadership of Mr. Tang Rui, which currently occupies an absolute market share in the domestic car navigation market.
