Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen achieves record-high monthly sales in October

Beijing (Gasgoo)- In October, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile (DPCA) achieved impressive results in its monthly sales, maintaining a positive year-on-year growth for 23 consecutive months.

In the tenth month of 2022, the Sino-French joint venture saw its monthly sales reach 14,589 vehicles, surging 45% year over year, while refreshing the company’s single-month sales record of the year. By the end of October, DPCA’s cumulative sales volume summed up to 105,013 vehicles in 2022. 

The automaker’s reinforcement of its competitiveness in products, marketing, and service all contributed to its remarkable market results achieved this year so far. For example, the previous weak sales regions, Shanxi Province and Inner Mongolia, have grown into two of the fastest-growing auto markets of DPCA in China, with another new dual-brand dealership opened for business in Hohhot, the regional capital of Inner Mongolia. 

In addition, on October 29, DPCA showcased the all-new Dongfeng Peugeot 5008 on the sub-brand’s 20th anniversary, and kicked off presale. Coming with three trim levels, the brand-new 5008 features a presale price range of 177,700-193,700 yuan ($24,320-$26,500). Notably, the automaker also launched a 399-unit limited edition 5008, which is the exact model used by the Embassy of France in China, priced at 233,700 yuan ($31,980).
