Nissan Motor's Apr. China sales grow 12.6% MoM
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Nissan Motor, the major Japanese automaker, announced on May 9 that its April sales volume in China recovered from a month ago.

According to the automaker, despite the price fluctuations in the Chinese automotive market, Nissan Motor's China sales still reached 61,313 units in April, representing a month-on-month growth of 12.6%, but reflecting a 1.5% notch down year-on-year.
In the past month, Dongfeng Motor Co. & Ltd. (DFL), the joint venture between Dongfeng Motor Group and Nissan Motor, sold 57,545 vehicles (including Nissan, Venucia, and Infiniti brands), which hiked 17.1% from the previous month. Notably, among the passenger vehicles sold in the past month, 52,510 units were Nissan-branded, jumping 24.9% from that of March.
Meanwhile, the company's light commercial vehicle joint venture, Zhengzhou Nissan, recorded a monthly sales volume of 3,768 vehicles in April.
From January to April, Nissan Motor's total sales in China, including both passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles, amounted to 223,274 units, representing a year-on-year decline of 29.9%.
Shohei Yamazaki, Senior Vice President of Nissan Motor Co. and Chairperson of Nissan Management Committee in China, emphasized Nissan Motor's accelerated electrification strategy in China, and the company’s plan to introduce seven electrified models to the local market by 2026 and achieve 80% of its product lineups electrified by 2030.
