Huawei-powered AITO posts 22.7% MoM increase in May deliveries

Beijing (Gasgoo)- In May 2023, AITO, the high-end new energy vehicle maker backed by SERES Group and powered by Huawei, saw a double-digit month-on-month growth in monthly deliveries.

In the fifth month of this year, AITO delivered 5,629 vehicles, representing a 22.7% increase from the previous month, said AITO. 

On May 27, the brand achieved a significant milestone as its 100,000th vehicle rolled off the production line at the SERES Liangjiang Intelligent Factory. 

It took AITO 15 months to achieve this record, from the commencement of vehicle deliveries on March 5, 2022, until the production of the 100,000th vehicle on May 27, 2023. Notably, it has outpaced such new energy vehicle startups like NIO and XPeng, who took 35 and 34 months respectively to achieve the same milestone, while Li Auto used less than 24 months.

The milestone vehicle, the AITO M5 intelligent driving edition, is the first model equipped with the Huawei ADS 2.0 advanced intelligent driving system and the HarmonyOS 3.0 smart cockpit system. Delivery of the model will commence in June.
