Trugo Tech inaugurates intelligent chassis-by-wire manufacturing factory in Changshu city

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 25, Chinese chassis-by-wire tech developer Shanghai Trugo Technology Co. Ltd. (“Trugo Tech”) celebrated the beginning of operation at its intelligent chassis-by-wire manufacturing factory in Changshu Economic Technological Development Area, Changshu city, Jiangsu province, according to a post on the company's WeChat account.

With a total investment of 400 million yuan, Trugo Tech's intelligent manufacturing factory in Changshu city has completed the construction of its first-phase production line, which has been put into operation. Furthermore, the second-phase production line is set to be completed within this year, which will initiate mass production of brake-by-wire products. The factory is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of over 2 million units, generating an annual revenue of 1 billion yuan.

Covering an area of more than 10,000 square meters, the Changshu factory has multiple production lines for intelligent braking and brake-by-wire products, along with key components. The products incorporate sophisticated VDC vehicle kinematics algorithms and advanced VMC algorithms, enabling vehicles to meet the demands of higher safety redundancy, more precise active control, and comprehensive energy recovery in the fields of electrification and intelligence.

The company announced in February 2023 the completion of its Series A and A+ financing rounds with over 100 million yuan raised in total.

The two fresh rounds drew strategic investments from Zhengxuan Investment and Xiaomi Group’s strategic investment arm, and also attracted investors like C&D Inc., UOB Venture Management, etc.

Proceeds from the new rounds will be mainly used for the expansion of the fully automatic production lines for ESC (electronic stability control) systems, the industrialization of EHBI (integrated-electro-hydraulic brake) systems, and the R&D of EMB (electro-mechanical brake) products.

Trugo Tech is dedicated to providing the Chinese automotive market with a complete set of core chassis-by-wire technologies and relevant solutions. Its main products include ESC, EHB, and EPB (electronic parking brake) systems.
