Tesla China slashes prices on in-stock Model S, Model X in China

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Tesla China announced on August 16 a significant price reduction on its Model S and Model X lineup, extending enticing discounts ranging from 54,000 yuan to 70,000 yuan.

Breaking down the specifics, the starting price of the Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive Model S was lowered from 809,000 yuan to 754,900 yuan, presenting a reduction of 54,000 yuan. The Model S Plaid variant, previously priced at 1,028,900 yuan, now starts at 958,900 yuan, marking a 70,000 yuan decrease. For the Model X, the starting price of the Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive was adjusted from 898,900 yuan to 836,900 yuan, reflecting a reduction of 62,000 yuan. Meanwhile, the Model X Plaid variant saw its starting price drop from 1,058,900 yuan to 989,900 yuan, a decrease of 69,000 yuan. Note that the promotions only target in-stock vehicles. 

In addition to these savings, customers who make referrals for Model S/X purchases are eligible for a 7,000-yuan referral reward (deductible from vehicle balance), along with a complimentary 90-day trial of the Enhanced Autopilot (EAP) feature. Referrers receive 48,000 reward points, which can be redeemed for Supercharger miles, TeslaMic wireless microphones, and more.

Moreover, purchasers can take advantage of a 3-year/6-year free Supercharger service entitlement and a limited-time transfer of Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability (available to existing Tesla owners).
