Dongfeng Mengshi's intelligent factory commence operations

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On August 19, Dongfeng Motor's Mengshi Automobile Technology Company ("Mengshi Tech") officially inaugurated its Mengshi Tech Intelligent Park in Wuhan.

The Mengshi Park, which broke ground on February 3, 2022, achieved full-line connection on March 28, 2023, in a rapid 14-month industrialization timeline, with the Mengshi 917 model went into trial production. The official opening of Mengshi Park signifies that the Mengshi 917 is ready for mass production and will be delivered to customers soon.

Encompassing an area of 476 mu, the Mengshi Park involves a total investment of 6.3 billion yuan in R&D and park construction. It features facilities such as office buildings, experience centers, offroad tracks, test runways, assembly centers, and comprehensive stations. Phase One of the plan aims to achieve an annual production capacity of 20,000 vehicles.

From the outset of park planning, Mengshi Tech integrated an eco-friendly concept of energy conservation and carbon reduction. The roofs of the employee parking lot, welding shop, and assembly workshop are equipped with distributed photovoltaic panels, generating clean energy of 5.7376 million kWh annually. 

Thanks to forward-looking planning, Mengshi Park embraces cutting-edge technologies, processes, materials, and concepts, achieving breakthroughs across various domains including processes, quality control, and management. This establishes a benchmark for luxury electric off-road vehicle manufacturing in China. With a focus on the attributes and technical demands of electric off-road vehicles, Mengshi Tech has crafted a digital intelligent manufacturing system that truly embodies the spirit of Mengshi.
