JAC Group posts 19.55% YoY surge in August sales

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese automaker JAC Group recently unveiled its August sales performance, which revealed robust year-on-year growth.

In August 2023, JAC Group posted a remarkable sales figure of 53,870 vehicles, marking a 19.55% increase compared to the same period last year. Impressively, this marks the seventh consecutive month for the company to achieve a year-on-year growth in sales. 

From January to August this year, JAC Group’s cumulative sales volume reached 383,247 vehicles, jumping 18.27% from a year ago.

Internationally, JAC Group continues its upward trajectory, with exports reaching 13,048 vehicles in August, representing a 9.97% rise year-over-year. In the first eight months of this year, the automaker’s cumulative export figure stood at 113,230 vehicles, shooting up 64.28% from that of the year-ago period. 

Within the commercial vehicle segment, JAC Group achieved remarkable results in August, with 18,546 units sold, which spiked 29.96% compared to the previous year. This growth is seen across the entire spectrum of light, medium, and heavy-duty truck segments. 

Cumulatively, JAC Group’s commercial vehicle sales reached 153,483 units in the first eight months of this year, climbing up 8.47% year over year. 

In the passenger vehicle sector, JAC Group reported sales of 35,324 vehicles in August, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 14.72%. Among the passenger vehicles sold in the past month, 21,515 units were battery-electric ones, which indicated a 14.11% growth from a year ago.

From January to August, JAC Group sold a total of 229,764 passenger vehicles, representing a 25.87% surge compared to that of the previous year.
