Dongfeng Nissan Venucia forays into Kenyan new energy vehicle market

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 17, the Kenyan Investment Authority and Dongfeng Nissan's Venucia brand officially signed the "Intention Agreement for Cooperation in Promoting the Sale of New Energy Vehicles in Kenya" in Beijing.

This collaborative endeavor aims to strengthen trade relations in the field of new energy vehicles between China and Kenya. It seeks to foster the sales of Dongfeng Nissan's Venucia-branded new energy vehicles in Kenya through cooperation and exchanges between the two parties, thereby promoting the high-quality development of Kenya's new energy vehicle industry. This partnership also contributes significantly to advancing the "Belt and Road" initiative.

As data reveals, Kenya, being East Africa's largest automotive market, possesses abundant renewable energy sources such as geothermal, wind, hydro, and solar energy. This makes Kenya an ideal environment for the substantial growth of new energy vehicles.

Venucia, as Dongfeng Nissan's avant-garde in electrification and smart technology, is diligently pursuing its new energy transformation strategy and international expansion plans. The brand recently introduced its first plug-in hybrid electric model, the V-Online DD-i, and is set to launch the all-new pure electric model, the VX6, shortly.
