BAIC Group teams up with Tianjin Port Group for enhanced logistics service

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 18, BAIC Group, one of China's major automotive conglomerates, and Tianjin Port Group signed a framework agreement to explore cooperation in vehicle and parts port handling and logistics, as well as vehicle procurement.

This strategic alliance aims to leverage the strengths of both organizations to enhance their core competencies. Additionally, they plan to collaborate on various fronts, including digitization, talent exchange, and innovations in corporate management systems, to achieve mutual support and synergistic high-quality development.

BAIC Group, a key player in China's automotive industry and a vital Beijing enterprise, has been proactively pursuing a forward-looking strategy, transitioning from traditional manufacturing to a service-oriented and innovative enterprise. Tianjin Port Group will provide unwavering support for BAIC Group's domestic and international transport of vehicles and components. It will offer efficient, high-quality, and convenient port handling, logistics, and multimodal transportation services.

Tianjin Port is a global maritime and trade hub. In 2022, Tianjin Port's container throughput exceeded 21 million standard containers, solidifying its position among the top ten ports globally.

This collaboration signifies a strategic move to further promote regional industrial cooperation and support integrated resource utilization in a broader geographical scope, contributing to the industrial layout of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
