Xiaomi SU7 electric vehicle to be launched on March 28

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On the morning of March 12, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun took to Weibo to announce the official release date of the Xiaomi SU7 electric vehicle model, which was set on March 28.

Lei Jun emphasized the importance of advanced intelligent technology and exceptional driving experience for those seeking a new car, expressing confidence that the Xiaomi SU7 would emerge as the top choice.

Last year, on December 28, Xiaomi held its Xiaomi EV Technology Launch event in Beijing, where the Xiaomi SU7 high-performance C-segment coupe made its debut. The conference unveiled breakthroughs in Xiaomi's five core automotive technologies, spanning electric motor, batteries, Xiaomi Hyper Die-Casting, Xiaomi Pilot Autonomous Driving, and smart cabins. While much about the SU7 was revealed at the event, its price remained shrouded in mystery, sparking widespread speculation.

Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing previously hinted on February 25 that deliveries of the Xiaomi SU7 in the Chinese market could commence as early as the second quarter of this year.

The launch event on March 28 will also unveil the official pricing of the much anticipated Xiaomi SU7. Lei Jun's Weibo post today also came with a poster, announcing that reservations for the new vehicle will commence in 59 stores across 29 cities nationwide simultaneously.
