The Thai factory is GAC Group's first bonded factory overseas. With the bonded zone approval, import tariffs for all production parts will be exempted. Additionally, electric vehicles produced within the bonded zone will enjoy the same tariff exemptions and customs clearance facilitation as locally produced electric vehicles in ASEAN member countries, serving as an important prerequisite for ensuring localized production in Southeast Asia.
In the future, the Thailand factory will further leverage its role as a hub for parts and vehicle logistics in Southeast Asia, strengthening GAC AION's strategic layout with dual factories in Thailand and Indonesia.
