Japan NICHIAS Corporation to boost vent-pipe lid output in Shanghai

Japan NICHIAS Corporation is to boost vent-pipe lid output through joint a venture in Shanghai. Investment assets are about 600 million Yen, by then, the production capacity of equipment is expected to be double that of the current capacity that is two million. Its major customers such as Nissan and Toyota Motors, are expanding the automobile production in China, NICHIAS Corporation is also preparing to increase the production capacity to meet customer's needs.

Wuyou Auto Components Co. is such a factory aiming to boost the capacity which is build in cooperation with the NICHIAS Corporation, IASCA and other five Japanese companies in Shanghai within 2005. NICHIAS Corporation holds about 48% of shares. The Company primarily produces exhaust system parts and stamping parts such as metal lids to avoid the heat, sound and vibration.

The total construction area of the existing plant is 3,000 square meters. There are plans to build another new plant in 2007 and introduce the stamping machines and other equipment to double production capacity.
