Dongfeng Nissan sees all-new Altima go on sale, to roll out 6 autopilot models by 2022
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Dongfeng Nissan saw the all-new Nissan Altima officially go on sale on December 18. Offering 6 variants based on configuration sets, the new model is priced between RMB179,800 and RMB269,800.
At the launch ceremony, Dongfeng Nissan disclosed the Introduction plan of Nissan Intelligent Mobility 2022, saying the automaker will introduce cutting-edge products and technologies in terms of three major sectors—Intelligent driving, Intelligent power and Intelligent integration with the Nissan Intelligent Mobility initiative as focus.
With regard to Intelligent driving, the Sino-Japanese joint venture plans to roll out four Level 2 autopilot models by 2020 and two Level 3 autopilot models by 2022 on the basis of Nissan's ProPILOT assist technology.
As to Intelligent power, the carmaker is going to bring in such Nissan's intelligent power technologies as Zero Emission, VC-TURBO and e-POWER. There are four models with VC-TURBO engine, four models with the e-POWER powertrain system and three all-new Zero Emission models expected to be rolled out in China by 2020.
The company is also ambitious to have its CCS (connected car system) iterated and upgraded progressively year by year and launch a total of ten Nissan Intelligent Mobility models by 2022 as part of efforts to promote intelligentization over products and technologies.
