Chinese AI chipmaker Horizon Robotics to present Matrix autonomous driving computing platform at CES 2019
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Horizon Robotics, a China-based leading technology company of embedded Artificial Intelligence, will showcase its self-developed Matrix Autonomous Driving Computing Platform at the CES 2019 kicking off on January 8 in Las Vegas.
According to previous reports, the Matrix platform was named the CES 2019 Innovation Awards Honoree in the Vehicle Intelligence and Self-driving Technology Category on November 8, 2018.
The award-winning Matrix autonomous driving computing platform, which is based on the BPU (Brain Processing Unit) 2.0, a high performance AI processor architecture developed by Horizon Robotics, is designed to empower L3 and L4 autonomous driving with high-performance solutions. Supported by the tech company's self-developed toolchain, developers and researchers are able to deploy neural network models based on the Matrix platform.
Besides, the technology company is going to unveil a Matrix-based crowdsourcing HD map data collection and positioning solution dubbed NavNet and a LiDAR sensing solution at the technology fest. Powered by the Matrix platform's edge computing capability, the two solutions integrated in vehicles will demonstrate on spot their strong abilities of map data collection, real-time mapping and panoramic 3D LiDAR point cloud detection merely with the monocular camera visual perception application.
In addition, Horizon Robotics is ready to present at the show the productized version of its XForce AI edged computing platform that is oriented to the scenarios of smart retail and smart city.
