BYD partners with RoboSense for automotive intelligence layout

Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s major automaker BYD recently announced that it had struck strategic cooperation with China’s LiDAR supplier, RoboSense, for automotive intelligence development on December 23rd.

As an active player in China’s auto industry, BYD believes that intelligent new energy vehicles are the future of the industry. LiDAR, with its active 3D imaging feature, collecting environmental perception information in the centimeter grade, has become a necessary component in intelligent driving systems.

RoboSense’s second-generation intelligent solid-state LiDAR, the M1, realized revolutionary improvement, from stacked 1D scan to 2D scan by chips. The M1 also features an exclusive “gaze” function that can adjust the scanning method when switching near/far-field perceptions, ensuring a safe driving experience.

RoboSense’s technical achievements align with BYD’s principle that technology is the foundation that drives all progress.
