The three parties will jointly build a driverless hydrogen vehicle pilot zone in Huangpu District and Guangzhou Economic & Technological Development District, actively creating demands for driverless hydrogen fuel-cell sanitation vehicles and other engineering vehicles as well as ride-hailing services. The partners will work to advance the development, manufacturing, demonstration, promotion, and operation of autonomous fuel-cell vehicles.
Respectively, as a state-owned conglomerate focusing on energy development, Hengyun will coordinate the overall plan of the demonstration zone, lead the communications with the government of Guangzhou Economic & Technological Development District, and strive to promote the construction and implementation of the demonstration zone.
Meanwhile, HTWO Guangzhou and WeRide will make use of their respective cutting-edge technologies in the field of hydrogen fuel cells and autonomous driving to build the world's first hydrogen-powered driverless street-cleaning vehicle, and put the vehicle into use in the demonstration area to carry out pilot operation of hydrogen intelligent sanitation service.
