Leveraging the comprehensive capabilities of the ERNIE Bot, JIDU will create the first large model artificial intelligence interactive experience for intelligent vehicles. The automaker believes that the addition of the ERNIE Bot will help further advance its Robocar's natural communication capability. Notably, the integration of the ERNIE Bot marked a milestone in the automotive industry for the first-ever application of AI chatbot product.
ERNIE Bot (Wenxin Yiyan in Chinese) is a generative dialogue product launched by Baidu based on the ERNIE (Wenxin in Chinese) big model technology. The industrial-grade knowledge-enhanced ERNIE big model holds cross-modal and cross-language deep semantic understanding and generation capabilities, which is not unlike the popular ChatGPT. According to information from Baidu, the ERNIE Bot will be launched in March 2023.
Aside from the application of ERNIE Bot, adhering to the company’s vision of robotics, JIDU also launched the user digital experience project, namely ROBOVERSE.
In December, JIDU put its first Robocar, the ROBO-01, on display at the Auto Guangzhou 2022. According to JIDU, delivery of the ROBO-01 will kick off in 2023, and the second production model, the ROBO-02, will also be introduced to the public soon.
