China’s LiDAR firm LiangDao joins hands with Deutsche Telekom for smart city data management
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- LiangDao Intelligence (“LiangDao”), a Chinese LiDAR system supplier, recently forged a strategic partnership with the German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom on the management of smart city data, according to a post on LiangDao’s WeChat account.
Under the agreement, both parties will jointly develop cloud-based intelligent traffic counting and monitoring solutions. Deutsche Telekom chose LiangDao as an important partner for its TechBoost startup program, providing the Chinese company with a range of support including cloud infrastructure, open cloud credit lines, sales and marketing, as well as interconnected platforms.
Founded in 1995, Deutsche Telekom is the largest telecommunications service provider in Europe, offering consumers fixed network/broadband, mobile communications, internet, IPTV, and other products and services, and providing information and communications technology (ICT) solutions for business clients.

LiangDao said it is committed to providing accurate data support for smart city, smart transportation, and other comprehensive operation solutions through its high-precision roadside perception smart transportation solutions based on LiDAR technology. It aims to achieve multiple goals such as traffic flow monitoring, intelligent traffic control, and vehicle-road collaboration, and reshape the infrastructure of smart cities. Currently, this solution has been applied in more than ten cities in Central Europe, and has established close partnerships with several European automakers, infrastructure operators, and government-affiliated transportation operators.
