Panasonic NavInfo, Qingtian Truck partner on battery management for autonomous trucks

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 15, Panasonic NavInfo, the mobility service joint venture between Panasonic and NavInfo, signed a framework cooperation agreement with Qingtian Truck ("Qingtian"), an autonomous driving truck solution provider, officially initiating their strategic collaboration in the field of new energy battery management for autonomous driving.

The duo will collaborate to develop a comprehensive new energy battery lifecycle value management system for autonomous driving commercial vehicles, aiming to accelerate the industry applications and establish an integrated value chain for batteries in the field of autonomous driving.

Currently, the Qingtian autonomous driving system, designed specifically for heavy-duty commercial vehicles, supports various perception solutions, including the radar+vision sensor layout and the pure vision layout. It is compatible with multiple power systems, including traditional oil fuel and new energy power such as batteries. Through cooperation with leading domestic new energy heavy-duty truck makers, the new energy intelligent heavy-duty trucks equipped with the Qingtian autonomous driving system will be ready for mass production in 2024. 

Through this collaboration, by combining Panasonic NavInfo's BetteRRRy battery analysis technology with Qingtian Truck's autonomous driving system, the two parties will provide core monitoring and management technologies such as battery status detection, battery safety warning, and battery life management for unmanned commercial vehicles. 

In the future, the two parties will also provide application innovation and commercialization solutions for battery asset management in the transportation sector, offering comprehensive lifecycle value management of batteries for battery asset holders.
