The project, covering 3.3 kilometers from Ningxia Road to Chongqing South Road, focuses on smart city infrastructure and intelligent connected vehicle testing, employing high standards and cutting-edge technology to promote digital transformation.
This initiative represents the first smart city pilot in the revitalization of road facilities within the old city area. The route is equipped with IoT sensing devices, roadside units, and high-speed communication, forming a solid foundation for intelligent management. The project adopts the Smart Nanjing Road Information Platform as the "smart brain," featuring a digital twin platform that combines smart transportation, intelligent connected vehicles, and smart municipal services. Moreover, the platform facilitates intelligent connected vehicle testing, supporting Level 3 and higher-level autonomous driving functions.
