City NCA goes online for αS HI Pioneer model in Beijing, Chongqing, Hangzhou

Beijing (Gasgoo)- BAIC Group's new energy vehicle brand, ARCFOX, announced last week that the city Navigation Cruise Assistance (NCA) service is available for αS HI Pioneer Edition users in Beijing, Chongqing, and Hangzhou.

The service coverage expansion followed the initial launch of the NCA function in such cities as Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. 

In Beijing, the coverage of the city NCA service extends to areas such as the Yizhuang area, Haidian District, and Shunyi District, with plans to gradually include the Fifth Ring Inner Road and closed-loop roads.

In Chongqing, the NCA high-precision map covers over 5,800 kilometers of the city’s road network, spanning core areas including Yuzhong District, Dadukou District, and Jiangbei District. 

In Hangzhou, the NCA service encompasses the city's central region, covering a distance of over 3,000 kilometers.

The αS HI Pioneer Edition model, which hit the market on May 19 this year at 329,800 yuan, boasts 34 perception hardware components, including 3 LiDAR sensors, 6 millimeter-wave radar sensors, 12 ultrasonic sensors, 9 ADS cameras, and 4 panoramic cameras, enabling a 360-degree detection perspective. The vehicle utilizes Huawei's MDC810 intelligent driving computing platform for execution and processing.

Since its debut, the αS HI Pioneer Edition has accumulated an intelligent driving distance of one million kilometers. The farthest single-car single-trip journey the vehicle achieved under NCA-enabled condition reached 1,931 kilometers. Notably, the vehicle's parking spot recognition accuracy stands at 96%, said ARCFOX. High-speed NCA function for the model has been deployed in 261 cities, covering a total distance of over 310,000 kilometers.

ARCFOX stated that the launch of the City NCA service in six cities signifies the brand's accelerated advancement in urban applications of intelligent driving. Looking ahead, as OTA updates continue, the αS HI Pioneer Edition is poised to feature Huawei ADS 2.0 technology in the near future.
