iFLYTEK's Spark AI large model to be deployed onto Chery's STERRA ES model

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On August 17, a significant event was held by iFLYTEK and Chery to announce the installation of the former’s Spark AI cognitive large model onto the latter’s EXEED STERRA ES vehicle model. This collaboration between the smart speech solution developer and the automaker brings vehicles closer to "thinking like humans."

STERRA is the latest new energy vehicle series of Chery's EXEED brand, which falls within the 200,000-to-500,000-yuan vehicle market. Positioned as a mid-to-large-sized all-electric sedan, the first model of the STERRA series, the STERRA ES, made its debut at the Auto Shanghai 2023. 

The integration of iFLYTEK's Spark AI enhances the STERRA ES' intelligence and learning capabilities, enabling natural human-machine interactions, voice controls, knowledge queries, code writing, and various other functionalities. This infusion of advanced technology promises passengers a seamless and enjoyable intelligent driving experience.

The collaboration between Chery and iFLYTEK dates back to 2003, and their two-decade partnership has seen numerous applications and explorations in the digitalization of the automotive industry. Over 30 Chery models have already incorporated iFLYTEK's technology. The cooperation on the Spark cognitive large model further strengthens the relationship between the two companies in the field of intelligent automotive technology.

Anticipated to hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2023, the STERRA ES will feature standard air suspension with CDC, front double wishbone suspension, and rear multi-link suspension. With a power consumption rate of 11.7 kWh per 100 kilometers, the vehicle is designed on an 800V high-voltage platform, allowing for a 150km range with just a 5-minute charge and 30% to 80% power replenishment in 15 minutes. Its overall range reaches up to 720km.
