Huawei officially introduced the HUAWEI HiCar 4.0 system on August 5, harnessing the capabilities of the HarmonyOS 4.0 operating system. At its core, this advanced technology centers around the harmonious convergence of smartphones and automobiles, realizing the power of IoT connectivity and a seamless interplay between human interaction and machine functionality.

This transformative experience embodies a core design principle - the "Three Cs", including “Connected”, “Continuous”, and “Complementary”. Specifically, the system ensures an effortless and swift connection, akin to constructing a high-speed expressway that unites smartphones and vehicles. Seamlessly transferring tasks from personal devices to the car, this feature enables fluid activities like movie watching, calling, music playback, and navigation to transition seamlessly between devices. Maximizing each device's unique strengths, this feature facilitates harmonious hardware collaboration and mutual reinforcement.

Huawei HiCar 4.0 boasts an array of remarkable capabilities that enrich the driving experience. One of its key features is the Effortless Pairing and Connectivity, enabling automatic connections through Bluetooth proximity or USB connections. Meanwhile, the Phone Ecosystem Integration ensures that smartphone apps seamlessly integrate with the car's infotainment system, creating a cohesive interaction between the expansive screen and audio components.

The Application Fusion aspect of the HiCar 4.0 delivers a user-centric interface, mirroring the smartphone experience within the vehicle's environment and offering deep customization of the application list. The Parallel Display feature presents an all-new parallel layout, adapting mobile applications seamlessly even when the car's infotainment screen is in landscape mode.

Integrated Cards offer the convenience of displaying navigation, music, and schedule cards on the in-car screen, allowing quick access to essential information without distractions. Lastly, the Shake-to-Navigate Transition allows users to initiate navigation by simply shaking their smartphone, transferring the selected address to the car's navigation system for an effortless journey.

Changan underscores that these transformative features will be fully integrated into the company’s new vehicle models. With seamless connectivity, phone ecosystem integration, and shake-to-navigate transition functionalities set to be updated and launched onto the likes of the Qiyuan A07 and Changan EADO models.
