Autonomous driving tech firm SENIOR sets roots in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province

Beijing (Gasgoo)- SENIOR, a Chinese provider of autonomous driving solutions for commercial vehicles, signed an agreement for its headquarters project in Moganshan Hi-tech Industry Development Zone in Huzhou city, Zhejiang Province, according to the company’s announcement.

Founded in 2020, SENIOR is based in Beijing with R&D centers and operational entities in Shanghai, Ningbo, Tangshan, and Zhuhai cities. As an L4 autonomous driving company specializing in port applications, SENIOR leverages port operations as the core foundation and extends its strategic focus to short-haul scenarios. 

The company has independently developed autonomous trucks and intelligent mobile vehicles for container transportation in port areas. Its primary goal is to apply autonomous driving technology to enhance intelligent logistics, creating a comprehensive ecosystem of high-tech solutions. 

This recent agreement signifies a complete relocation of the company’s headquarters, including the global headquarters, R&D center, national manufacturing base, and the intended listing entity to Moganshan Hi-tech Zone.

This project's main thrust is the R&D, production, and commercialization of autonomous driving technology for heavy-duty truck logistics, with a total investment of approximately 280 million yuan. The project's key components include the autonomous driving domain kit production line, the autonomous chassis production line, and the computing platform production line. Once all are up and running, it will have an annual production capacity of 1,000 autonomous driving domain kits, 300 autonomous chassis units, and 1,000 computing platforms. 

It is anticipated that the project will achieve an annual output value exceeding 1 billion yuan, with an annual increase in tax revenue exceeding 50 million yuan and the attraction of over 300 talented individuals.
