OTA 5.0 introduces a comprehensive upgrade to AD Max 3.0 intelligent driving system, enabling nationwide availability of all-scenario Navigation on Autopilot (NOA). This encompasses coverage on national highways, urban expressways, and progressively expanding to local city roads across 100 cities nationwide.

The update brings refined city driving experiences, enabling smoother navigation through intersections, roundabouts, and adaptive speed control based on road environments. Maneuvering through congested scenarios or lane-changing situations exhibits enhanced driving capabilities akin to experienced drivers.

On highways, the system preemptively slows down for potential hazards, offers alternative routes for construction zones, effortlessly handles merging into high-density traffic on ramps, and displays improved stability during rainy conditions.

Additionally, the update introduces full-scenario Lane Centering Control (LCC), autonomously recognizing traffic lights, enabling automatic start-stop functionalities, and even simulating lane markings. It supports navigating large intersections devoid of lane markings for up to 100 meters, ensuring seamless lane changes during straight-ahead or merging scenarios.

Parking features are enhanced with autonomous parking activation via a smartphone app, facilitating easy handling of perpendicular parking spaces. In multi-level parking garages, the system offers flexible navigation around obstacles and learns routes for independent parking spot locating and parking.

Safety measures receive a boost with improved AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) performance, capable of achieving complete stops at speeds of up to 110 km/h across various challenging scenarios, including pedestrian crossings and surprise obstacles.

Li Auto's in-house developed large model, Mind GPT, completed its integration onboard, which will gradually open up to users through an invite-based beta testing phase.
