Renault Group, a staunch advocate of Europe's public transportation sector, believes in the transformative power of autonomous driving technology for public transport. As a major driver and participant in Europe's transition to green, driverless public transportation, Renault is also a key strategic investor in WeRide.

WeRide, a global leader in autonomous driving technology, is dedicated to promoting low-carbon, safe, and efficient autonomous driving solutions. It is the only company worldwide with autonomous driving licenses in China, the US, the UAE, and Singapore. WeRide operates in 30 cities across seven countries, offering a range of services including ride-hailing, on-demand buses, urban freight, intelligent sanitation, and advanced intelligent driving solutions.

Gilles Le Borgne, CTO of Renault Group, stated, "Renault Group is advancing its future autonomous driving strategy by partnering with the best in the field—WeRide. We look forward to launching a series of low-carbon autonomous shuttles by 2030 to meet the growing demand for green public transport across Europe."

This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both Renault and WeRide. It represents WeRide's debut in the European market with its autonomous driving products. The partnership aims to accelerate the introduction of proven autonomous driving products and business models to the European market, expanding their scope and impact.
