Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of SAIC-VW amounted to 40,642 units, down 11.59% year on year, the first on January, 2009 sales ranking by all OEMs, according to the January sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of FAW-VW amounted to 38,771 units, down 38.52% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 38,771 units. January sales of Beijing Hyundai reached 35,183 units, increasing 21.88% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 35,183 units. (Note: Data here refers to sales of cars, SUVs and MPVs made and sold in China.)
