August, 2009 sales ranking by Joint Venture's brands

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of VW amounted to 102,698 units, up 79.74% year on year, the first on August, 2009 sales ranking by Joint Venture's brands, according to the August sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of Toyota amounted to 58,799 units, up 45.92% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 365,470 units. August sales of Hyundai reached 50,713 units, increasing 214.17% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 351,529 units. (Note: Data here refers to sales of cars, SUVs and MPVs made and sold in China.)
