China will extend its exemption of purchase taxes on new energy vehicles (“NEVs”) to the end of 2023, the country’s State Council decided at an executive meeting held on August 18, as part of measures to boost automobile sales.

In July 2022, the monthly registrations of the ZEEKR 001, the first and only production model under Geely Auto's premium car brand ZEEKR, reached 3,791 units, sliding 6.3% over the previous month, according to data compiled by GARI.
