China's NDRC approves to build 9 NEV-related research centers

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) replied a request from National Joint Engineering Research Center in 2017, permitting to build 9 research centers on such areas as NEV key parts, intelligent connected vehicles and recycling of power batteries.

Specifically, the NDRC approved to build three research centers for intelligent connected vehicles, one for new energy vehicles, two for NEV's power systems and three for NEV's power batteries. These research centers will mainly depend on a variety of NEV-related companies, such as Great Wall Motors, Anhui Ankai Automobile Co., Ltd. , CATL and Brunp Recycling. 

According to the requirements from NDRC, National Joint Engineering Research Center should firmly implement innovation-driven development strategy, spare no effort to solve the problems of key technologies and equipment that restrict the development of the industry. It should also promote the innovation of key generic technologies, cutting-edge technologies, modern engineering technologies and subversive technologies to boost the industrial progress and structural adjustment.
