
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) recently released the patent image of the ORA iQ5, Great Wall Motors' all-new pure electric crossover SUV. Great Wall Motors is expected to launch an all-new pure electric vehicle brand called ORA. The ORA iQ5 will be the first model under this new brand.
The ORA iQ5 boasts a stature of a crossover SUV, coinciding with the concept models under Faraday Future and Byton in design style. The SUV measures a length of 4445mm, a width 1735mm, and a height 1567mm. Besides, it features a wheelbase of 2615mm.
The new model is expected to be positioned as a compact SUV. As a pure electric vehicle, the new SUV adopts a closed design style for the intake grille and bears an all-new brand logo in the middle of the intake grille. Besides, it boasts long, narrow and sharp headlights, delivering a strong futuristic sense with the inside lamp beads arranged in order.

As a crossover model, the ORA iQ5 adopts a fastback body design with round and simple rear end lines. According to the patent information, the model will offer two tire options.
The iQ5 is powered by CATL's ternary lithium-ion battery and paired with BorgWarner's motor, which will enable the model to have a maximum power output of 120kW. What's more, the new model will be equipped with ESP system.
