Evergrande Auto’s first mass-produced model to roll off assembly line in early 2022
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Evergrande Auto, the new energy vehicle (NEV) firm of Chinese property giant China Evergrande Group, will put forth its utmost efforts to make sure the first production model rolls off the assembly line at the Tianjin factory in early 2022, Liu Yongzhuo, President of Evergrande Auto, said on Monday at the company's strategy partners conference.

The soon-to-be-output model is the Hengchi 5, a compact all-electric SUV launched in August 2020 along with the other five models, namely, the Hengchi 1,2,3,4 and 6.
Mr. Liu didn't disclose the number of the first vehicles to leave the production line.
He added the company transfer core R&D teams and technical talents from Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen to support the building of the Tianjin factory as well as the future production works.
According to Evergrande Auto, it shifted its strategic center to Tianjin base as the latter were granted production permits by both China’s National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and meets all requirements for mass production.
Evergrande Auto has seen the prototypes of the Hengchi 1,3,5,6 and 7 come off the assembly line, and completed cold weather, hot weather, and high altitude tests for those models.
