Ford Motor to raise prices of China-made Mustang Mach-E
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Ford Motor Company is about to raise the prices of the Mustang Mach-E by 7,000 yuan ($1,100) to 22,500 yuan ($3,540) in China, according to a post on the twitter-like Weibo account named “Mustang Mach-E”.

Nevertheless, the automaker does not mention the specific date for the price increase. According to a local media outlet, citing a salesperson at Ford Motor, the price adjustment may take place between April 20 to April 30.
The first Mustang Mach-E manufactured in China officially rolled off the assembly line on Oct. 18 last year. Produced at Changan Ford's manufacturing plant in Chongqing, the locally-built Mach Es were delivered to first customers in China on December 26, 2021.
The all-electric SUV is being sold via Ford Motor’s BEV growing network of direct-to-customer stores situated in major Chinese metropolitan markets.
All versions of the China-made Mustang Mach-E come standard with Mustang family's classic design, intelligent driver assist hardware and L2 intelligent driving assist system. The RWD (long range) version can reach a maximum range of 619 kilometers under CLTC (China light-duty vehicle test cycle), while the GT version is capable of a NEDC-rated range of 492 kilometers.
According to the monthly sales results Ford Motor released today, the company’s EV business unit delivered 969 Mustang Mach-Es in March. Currently, the lead-time of the BEV model has been shortened to only six weeks.
Aside from Ford Motor, such global automakers as Mercedes-Benz and BMW also announced their price increase plans in China recently.
