Li Auto to build auto parts industrial park in Changzhou city
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Li Auto recently signed an agreement to build a new auto parts industrial park in Changzhou city, Jiangsu province, where its self-built car manufacturing plant is located.
As publicly disclosed, Li Auto's Changzhou car plant covers an area of 750mu (500,000 square meters) and features an annual production capacity of 100,000 vehicles. It started the volume production of the Li ONE, the startup's first production model, in November 2019, and hit a cumulative production volume of 200,000 units on August 1, 2022.

The yet-to-be-built industrial park will significantly help enhance the supply chain efficiency and trim the logistics costs for Changzhou plant’s production.
As of July 2022, Li Auto has delivered a total of 194,913 Li ONEs, 70,825 units of which were delivered this year.
The company launched its second production model, the Li L9, on June 21. The six-seater range-extended electric SUV mainly targets family users. On August 18, the L9's first vehicle came off the production line at the Changzhou plant with its delivery to start nationwide soon.
According to Li Xiang, CEO and chairman of Li Auto, the company expects to deliver over 10,000 L9s next month.
To meet the fast growing sales, Li Auto is conducting an expansion project at the Changzhou plant, whose annual production capacity will be lifted to 200,000 vehicles in the future.
