BYD forges strategic partnership with Ecuadorian dealership group Andor

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On May 3, Chinese leading new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer BYD announced its strategic cooperation with Andor Corporation ("Andor"), a car dealership group in Ecuador, to jointly provide sales and aftersales services of BYD-branded models in the country.

At the event held in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, BYD also presented three battery electric vehicle (BEV) models, namely, the HAN EV, the YUAN PLUS EV, and the Dolphin EV.

"We are delighted with this new step that BYD is taking in Ecuador", said Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD and CEO of BYD Americas. “As a global company, we want to provide our consumers with the best technology and innovation, and offer solutions that allow us to improve the urban living quality with clean and efficient transportation."

Diego Almeida, General Manager of Andor Corporation, said: "We are creating a comprehensive solution that supports the after-sales, made possible by a team of technical professionals from BYD Americas and BYD Ecuador."

The display of the aforesaid three models is expected to bring vigor to the Ecuadorian electric passenger vehicle market. Andor announced that BYD’s new energy vehicle models will be exhibited in 3 shopping centers—Quicentro Shopping, Paseo San Francisco, and Mall del Sol—as the beginning of its strategic plan. Over the next half years, six sales outlets of BYD models will be built in Quito Guayaquil, and Manta, and the local presence will expand to reach 12 outlets by 2024.
