Chery Auto puts TIGGO 9 flagship SUV onto market, starting at 15,2900 yuan

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On May 30, Chery Automobile officially put the TIGGO 9 SUV onto the market. It comes with five trim levels, which are priced from 152,900 yuan and 203,900 yuan.

As the first mass-produced model on Chery's high-end intelligent platform, the Mars Architecture-Super Hybrid platform, the TIGGO 9 is positioned as a "Magnetic Suspension Ultra-Comfort Flagship SUV" by the company.

The Chery TIGGO 9 adopts a brand-new design language. The large-sized polygonal grille is adorned with chrome accents. The intricate treatment of the grille adds an essence of stability.

Besides, the sleek headlights, muscular lines on the hood, and the three-section intake grille on the front bumper give the vehicle a stronger sense of power and dimensionality.

The side profile features clean and flowing lines, with a straight and raised waistline that runs directly from the headlights to the taillights. The lower body line and the lines created by the front and rear wheel arches enhance the vehicle's powerful appearance.

The new model adopts trendy “hidden” door handles. With dimensions measuring 4,820mm in length, 1,930mm in width, and 1,710mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,820mm, the TIGGO 9 is positioned as a mid-size SUV. It is equipped with 20-inch multi-spoke wheels.

Inside, the TIGGO 9 retains the family's dual-screen setup but with refined adjustments to the details. The air vents feature a rectangular shape, and the three-spoke steering wheel has also undergone modifications. The center console is equipped with a larger storage platform and supports wireless charging for mobile phones, striking a balance between functionality and stylishness.

The TIGGO 9 carries the Lion Cloud intelligent interaction system, which includes features like AR navigation, facial recognition, intelligent voice control, and remote control through a mobile app. Additionally, the vehicle will incorporate a 50-inch AR-HUD head-up display, capable of displaying various information such as vehicle speed, dynamic ADAS, navigation, and phone functions, while also focusing the user's attention for safer driving.

Regarding safety, the TIGGO 9 boasts a L2.9-level intelligent driving assistance system. In addition to features like AVP autonomous valet parking and NOC navigation-assisted driving, it also includes 21 basic ADAS functions and 11 advanced intelligent driving assistance functions.

In terms of space, the TIGGO 9 is available in a 5-seat version and a 2+3+2 layout for the 7-seat version. The rear row is equipped with independent air vents and air conditioning.

Powering the TIGGO 9 is a 2.0TGD engine, which delivers a maximum power of 254 horsepower and a peak torque of 400 Nm. The front-wheel-drive models are paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (7DCT), while the four-wheel-drive models are fitted with an Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission (8AT).
