BYD announces name of first model under ‘Fangchengbao’ brand
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 4, following the official announcement that BYD's specialized and personalized sub-brand has been officially named "Fangchengbao", the company once again claimed that the brand's first mass-produced model would be named "Bao 5" (Leopard 5).
Derived from an intriguing fusion of the words "Fangcheng" (translated to “Formula”) and “Bao" (translated to “Leopard"), the name signifies the use of professional wisdom and spirit to explore the digital world, aiming to solve the personalized transformation of automobiles and users' lives, said BYD. This combination brings together the standards and rules implied by "Formula" and the wildness and agility symbolized by "Leopard", sparking a distinctive brand character. It represents the inherent strong features of the Fangchengbao brand, and encapsulates BYD's bold thinking and exploration of the future shape of cars and the lifestyle associated with them.
