Since its establishment in 2003, Dongfeng Honda has consistently prioritized the quality of its products, continuously shaping the market landscape from product to category, said the company. It all began with the launch of its first product, the CR-V urban SUV. Besides, the company made a successful foray into the Chinese market for household sports sedans with the eighth-generation Civic, and the XR-V emerged as a popular small SUV, achieving a remarkable sales milestone of one million units.
Continuing such success, Dongfeng Honda also introduced a series of models including the ELYSION, the UR-V, the INSPIRE, the M-NV, and the e:NS1, resulting in a comprehensive product lineup encompassing 12 models. This lineup spans across a diverse range of power solutions, including gasoline, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and pure electric, covering SUVs, MPVs, and sedans.
In response to the accelerating transition towards new energy vehicles, Dongfeng Honda said it has adopted a comprehensive approach to full electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) technologies, firmly advancing its electrification transformation and fully embracing the era of intelligent electric vehicles.
As early as 2007, Dongfeng Honda introduced the eighth-generation Civic IMA hybrid model, making it one of the first companies in China to launch HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) products. In 2018, the automaker unveiled the "Seeing the Future" new energy vehicle brand strategy.
In March of this year, Dongfeng Honda made an innovative brand announcement for its advanced intelligent hybrid technology, namely, e:HEV/e:PHEV. The new-generation CR-V e:HEV/e:PHEV, the Honda HR-V e:HEV, the all-new INSPIRE e:PHEV, and the 2024 ELYSION, all equipped with this cutting-edge technology, have already been put onto the market. Additionally, the fire new pure electric model, the M-NV, made its debut at this year's Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Show. With these recent additions, Dongfeng Honda's electrified vehicle lineup now surpasses 10 models.
