BYD displays TANG EV in Ecuador

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Earlier this month, BYD's full electric SUV, the BYD TANG EV, made its debut at the Guayaquil Autoshow in Ecuador.

During the exhibition, BYD showcased its diverse range of pure electric vehicles, providing local consumers with a environmentally friendly travel experience.

The striking design and outstanding performance of the TANG EV captured the attention of local consumers, said BYD. With a total power output of 509 hp and torque of 700 N·m, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Equipped with BYD's Blade Battery, the TANG EV boasts a single-charge range of up to 635 kilometers (based on CLTC standard). The model’s intelligent flagship cockpit features a seven-seat layout, meeting the demands for space in family travel.

"BYD is the first brand in Ecuador that is presenting a complete portfolio of zero emission vehicles. We launched three brand-new pure electric models in May, the BYD HAN, BYD YUAN PLUS and BYD DOLPHIN. Today, we have presented the BYD TANG. All of our cars offer a totally avant-garde design and captivate with their performance, power and driving experience", commented Santiago Mena, Brand Manager of Andor Coporation.

At the Guayaquil Autoshow, BYD was also honored with the "Best Stand" award for 2023. The exhibition allowed attendees to experience up-close the allure of BYD's new energy vehicles and witness the highlights of its core technologies.

Additionally, visitors had the opportunity to experience the BYD World, an interactive virtual dealership dedicated to providing future-forward immersive car-buying experience for customers.

Currently, BYD has opened five stores in Ecuador and is working in partnership with local distributor Andor Group to establish a local sales and service system, providing a better consumer experience for local users. This further contributes to Ecuador's journey towards a green future and sustainable development.
