ZEEKR to unveil ZEEKR 001 FR supercar soon, expected to be priced over 1 million yuan

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In response to recent online rumors about a possible refreshed version of the ZEEKR 001, ZEEKR, the premium electric vehicle brand of Geely Auto Group, has released a statement clarifying that there are no redesign plans for the ZEEKR 001. Addressing the speculations head-on, the carmaker unveiled the answer: ZEEKR's performance supercar, the ZEEKR 001 FR, will make its debut on ZEEKR brand's technology day to be held soon.

According to ZEEKR's statement, the ZEEKR 001 FR is priced at over one million yuan and aims to disrupt the monopoly traditionally held by multi-million-yuan luxury hypercars.

With the announcement, ZEEKR also provided a glimpse into the design of the ZEEKR 001 FR. To achieve maximum weight reduction and shatter speed and performance expectations, the ZEEKR 001 FR incorporates a full-carbon fiber aerodynamic package, including elements like the front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser, wing, and roof. The car also features lightweight high-performance forged wheels and top-tier carbon-ceramic brake discs.

ZEEKR has so far put three models onto the market based on the SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) dedicated to pure electric vehicles, namely the ZEEKR 001 coupe, the ZEEKR 009 MPV, and the ZEEKR X SUV.

In July 2023, ZEEKR, the premium electric vehicle brand of Geely Auto Group, delivered 12,039 new vehicles, showing a remarkable year-on-year growth of 139.7% and a month-on-month growth of 13.4%, the automaker said on Tuesday. This marks a historic high in ZEEKR's monthly deliveries and the sixth month in a row for the brand to achieve both year-on-year and month-on-month growth.

As of July 2023, ZEEKR had cumulatively delivered over 130,000 vehicles, 54,672 units of which were delivered in the first seven months of this year.
