Geely’s GEOME E Firefly all-electric SUV hits market with starting price of 69,800 yuan

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 16, the GEOME E Firefly ("Yinghuochong" in Chinese Pinyin) officially hit the market as the refreshed edition of the GEOME E, an all-electric model under Geely's new energy vehicle (NEV) range GEOME. Coming with three trim levels, it features a guidance price range of 69,800 yuan to 89,800 yuan.

Positioned as Geely's latest entry-level A0-segment SUV, the GEOME E Firefly is built upon core competitive strengths of its predecessor, while achieving a refreshing aesthetic, enhanced interior, and an elevated driving experience, said the automaker.

The exterior design draws inspiration from nature's vibrant palette, introducing three nature-inspired color options: Jasmine White, Mint Green, and Sakura Pink. The front grille features wide LED headlights akin to firefly eyes, harmoniously aligned with LED strip lights that run across the front end, capable of delivering various lighting effects, enhancing both recognition and allure.

The side profile showcases GEOME's distinctive double waistline design, traversing the vehicle's sides to evoke a sense of dynamic movement and power. Paired with three styles of free-spirited wind-chasing wheels, the GEOME E Firefly's clean and bold lines create a visually compelling presence. The luminous LED taillights and aerodynamic double wings at the rear amplify the vehicle's technological sophistication.

Internally, the interior boasts three color themes—Dusk White, Stone Blue, and Cloud Pink—aligned with different exterior colors.

In terms of intelligent cabin and comfort features, the GEOME E Firefly is equipped with an column-mounted shifter and a dual touchscreen setup composed of two 10.25-inch displays, offering seamless operation and an expansive visual experience. Furthermore, standard features such as heated rearview mirrors, rear window defogging, 6-way adjustable driver's seat, and a “non-inductive" start-stop system all reinforce the overall intelligence and comfort of the vehicle.

As a 5-seater SUV, the GEOME E Firefly boasts a body width of 1,765mm and rear passenger space of 1,338mm, accommodating three passengers in the rear seats, comfortably meeting family travel needs. The newly introduced fold-flat rear seats provide a capacious cargo space ranging from 356 to 1,000 liters.

Under the hood, the GEOME E Firefly is equipped with either a 29.67kWh or 39.3kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, featuring a CLTC range of 301km and 401km, respectively. The model carries a 60kW liquid-cooled three-in-one electric drive system, which delivers a maximum power output of 60kW and peak torque of 130N·m with a combined efficiency surpassing 87%.
