Hongqi NEV puts EH7 all-electric sedan onto market, starting at 229,800 yuan

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 20, the Hongqi EH7 electric sedan, the first strategic model under FAW Group's Hongqi New Energy Vehicle (Hongqi NEV), hit the market with a price ranging from 229,800 yuan to 309,800 yuan.

Based on the new FMEs "Qizhi" high-end electric and smart super architecure, the EH7 represents the brand's strategic model for electrification. Built on the prototype of the Hongqi E001, the new vehicle features a brand-new Hongqi NEV emblem, showcasing strong brand characteristics.

In terms of dimensions, the EH7 measures 4,980mm in length, 1,915mm in width, 1,490mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000mm. The design prioritizes interior space with a short front and rear overhang and a long wheelbase.

The interior emphasizes material quality and color schemes, featuring a dual-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a 6-inch LCD instrument panel, and a 15.5-inch central control screen forming a unified console display, exuding a high-tech vibe. Additionally, it comes equipped with an AR HUD (head-up display) system.

In terms of technology, the EH7 boasts impressive features. It is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8155 chip and the HAP precision automatic driving assistance system, providing drivers with a safer and more convenient driving experience. 

With 5 HD cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars, totaling 22 sensors, the EH7 can accurately identify complex scenarios and effectively prevent potential risks. It features intelligent driving assistance functions such as all-scenario AEB, emergency lane keeping, and emergency lane change assistance.

Power-wise, the rear-wheel-drive version's motor delivers a maximum power of 253kW and a maximum torque of 450Nm. The four-wheel-drive variant has a total motor power of 455kW and a total torque of 756Nm. The high-spec variant is equipped with CDC suspension damping variable shock absorbers, enhancing suspension movement, comfort, balance, and defining style. In terms of range, the EH7 can achieve a maximum CLTC-rated range of 820 kilometers. With a 5-minute charge, it can replenish up to 215 kilometers of energy.
