Shanghai is one of the cities with the highest density of express deliveries in China. According to China's State Post Bureau, the volume of express deliveries in Shanghai exceeded 3.7 billion pieces in 2023, averaging over 10 million pieces per day. This has led to increasing work intensity for couriers and a growing challenge in hiring for logistics and express delivery companies. The newly licensed NEOLIX X3 unmanned vehicle is expected to alleviate some of these pressures in the logistics industry.
According to the company, NEOLIX's X3 unmanned vehicle has a loading capacity of three cubic meters and can carry 300 packages per trip, with a full-charge range of 100km. It has an autonomous driving capability of 40 km/h on public roads and can perform efficient deliveries through methods such as point-to-point and direct dispatching, meeting users' demands for timely deliveries. During peak business periods, it will increase delivery frequency, making more than ten round trips per day, effectively preventing package backlogs at distribution points and reducing user complaints about delays.
To date, NEOLIX has obtained official rights of way and achieved large-scale deployment in over 70 cities nationwide. The company said it will continue to leverage its strengths to explore large-scale commercial applications of autonomous driving products in more cities and scenarios.
