GAC Group to build new premium smart NEV brand using Huawei’s capabilities

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 30, 2024, Chinese automaker GAC Group and Huawei, a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, held a signing ceremony at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center to mark their enhanced strategic cooperation on intelligent vehicles, according to a post on GAC Group’s WeChat account.

Through the partnership, GAC Group plans to establish a premium smart new energy vehicle (NEV) brand in addition to its existing Trumpchi, AION, and HYPTEC brands. This new brand will leverage the strengths of both parties, focusing on product development, marketing, and ecosystem services to deliver an advanced intelligent experience for users.

GAC Group highlighted its 27 years of expertise in vehicle manufacturing, platform development, battery technology, and quality control. Meanwhile, Huawei boasts cutting-edge capabilities in ICT and smart solutions. As the automotive industry accelerates toward electrification and intelligentization, the partnership aims to combine GAC’s hardware expertise with Huawei’s software advantages to achieve shared goals in developing smart vehicle products, marketing, and ecosystem services. The collaboration is expected to set a new benchmark in the NEV sector.
